Campfire Corn On The Cob

This is an oldy but a goody. The trick is getting the campfire setup with hot coals and then leaving the corn in long enough to soften the corn without burning it.

Campfire Corn On The Cob

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8
    Corn on the Cob (do not husk)
  • Water
  • 1
    stick
    Butter
  • Salt
    optional

Instructions

  1. Mix water and sugar in a clean bucket, cooler or large pan (add enough water to cover corn).

  2. Add the corn to the water mixture and soak for one-two hours.

  3. Remove corn from water and place on campfire or grill, turn often to avoid over burning of the husk, cook for approximately 20-30 minutes or until tender, remove corn from fire.

  4. Peel back husk and silk, spread with butter and/or salt. Now your ready to eat the sweet, delicious, steaming hot corn.
